Perfectionism, Gestalt Psychology, and Grass Roots Organising in the Credit Crunch – Reflections on Four Years of Getting Things Done at Morgan Stanley
.
Biography
As an executive director at Morgan Stanley University and enthusiastic GTD champion, I made GTD part of the standard curriculum for new employees. At the same time, I was evolving and optimising my own systems. I’ll share a brief travelogue of this GTD journey – the ups, downs, cautionary tales and (hopefully) sage advice. What’s important to consider when getting GTD to bed-in in big companies? Does GTD translate into global cultures? How did my own GTD thinking inform what happened in the wider organisation?
Todd is co-founder and director of Next Action Associates, a certified international partner of the David Allen Company in the UK. NAA provides coaching and seminars that help individuals and teams get the most from GTD.
Todd has been a leader in the global learning and development/talent management community for more than 20 years, with a particular focus on learning for IT.
